Manchester United suffered a disappointing exit from the Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, with a 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich, according to Daily Express.

Erik ten Hag did not mince words as he attributed the loss to individual mistakes from his players.

“We made mistakes. Some individual errors from more players. In the end, it’s not good enough,” stated Ten Hag in his post-match interview with TNT Sports.

Despite acknowledging the errors, he maintained that the team’s overall performance was commendable, emphasizing their defensive organization and pressing against a formidable opponent.

“Today the performance was very good, and we didn’t deserve to lose, but we lost the game,” he said.

Reflecting on the team’s consistency, Ten Hag highlighted the need for improvement, taking both managerial responsibility and urging the players to take accountability.

“Me as a manager, I have to improve the team – I have to guide them, and the team has to take responsibility,” he said.

Despite the spirited performance, Ten Hag conceded that the options from the bench were limited.
