It doesn’ t matter how much magic or compulsion Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike uses, according to him, his efforts to sway the votes of Rivers residents in favour of Bola Tinubu, the APC’ s presidential candidate, will be unsuccessful.
According to Seconus, there have been a great deal of challenges because this development in our state has just taken place relatively lately. What we did was a reaction to the fact that Governor Wike and his team had given up on supporting our presidential candidate despite having previously given a solemn promise to do so.
Once some time had passed, he retracted his support, providing an assortment of flimsy explanations. After determining that Governor Wike and members of his staff had moved away from supporting our presidential candidate over the course of the past few months, we took the necessary steps to address the situation.
” The populace of the area has not shown a great deal of enthusiasm for it. ” You may recall that I also served as the state chairman, and I believe that the People’ s Democratic Party (PDP) has gotten support from voters in Rivers in every election held since 1999. Because we are not going to rely on anyone’ s ego or what they love, we have made it a point, up to this point, to make sure that we reach out to the voters who are planning to cast their ballots on that specific day. The unfortunate truth is that this was the state of affairs far before the beginning of the political period.
” Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is highly recognised. Why is it that the electorate continues to have hope that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the PDP would earn their votes on election day despite the governor’ s ongoing attacks on the presidential candidate of our party? “
So, no one would be able to do any type of magic, regardless of how much compulsion and effort was put in to try and convince the electorate in favour of the candidate supported by the APC. It wouldn’ t end up being a good situation. The disparity between the contributions that Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, both of whom have been very helpful to the people of Rivers, is very obvious. One could speculate as to what kind of benefits Bola Tinubu has brought the people of Rivers.
