SaharaReporters has reported that a 100-level computer science student at Veritas University Abuja, identified as Joshua Èjuojo Daniel-Ejigbo, died while exercising at the campus gymnasium on Tuesday.

On Thursday, a family source revealed that they discovered five stab wounds on the back and ribs of the deceased student’s body. The source claimed that the wounds were not visible initially and that the body was handed over to the family without an apparent cause of death.
The family alleges that the university was negligent in handling the incident and failed to provide adequate information about the circumstances surrounding Daniel-Ejigbo’s death.
Efforts to contact the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command for comment on whether the student’s death is under investigation have been unsuccessful.
