Tinubu Ready To Lead As Africa Looks Up To Nigeria – Alake

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Dele Alake, on Saturday in Lagos, said President Bola Tinubu is ready to provide leadership on the local and foreign scenes. Alake said the rest of Africa looks up to Nigeria for leadership.
“Everybody is looking up to Nigeria, especially in Africa and the ECOWAS region and President Tinubu is ready to take up the gauntlet,” Alake told State House correspondents when President Umaro Embaló of Guinea Bissau visited President Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos.
Uzodimma, Sanwo-Olu Set Up Committee To Reconcile Igbos, Yorubas

Determined to end the soured relationship between Igbos and Yorubas in Lagos, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and his Lagos State counterpart, Babajide Sanwo-Olu have set up a committee to broker peace.
Setting up the reconciliation committee was the high point of the meeting held to seek lasting solutions to the recent raging misunderstanding between the Igbos residing and doing business in Lagos and their Yoruba neighbours.
In a communique issued at the end of a meeting between the Lagos State Government and South East Governments, it was agreed that a peace and reconciliation committee will be empanelled to “settle and douse the increasing tension between the two vibrant groups.”
Eight Persons Feared Dead In Anambra

About eight persons have been feared killed and 12 others injured in a multiple road accident that occurred at the Umunya Odumodu Junction along the Nteje-Awka Expressway, in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that two heavy-duty trucks, one Sienna commercial bus, one black Toyota car, and another unidentified commercial vehicle were involved in the accident, which occurred on Saturday at about 12:40 pm.
The commercial vehicles were said to be coming from Onitsha and heading to Enugu before the accident occurred. The victims were said to be mostly from commercial vehicles.
An eyewitness near the crash attributed the cause to overspeeding and recklessness by one of the drivers of the heavy-duty trucks.
CSO Call On Tinubu To Sack Heads Of MDAs Over Alleged Corrupt Practices

A Civil Society Organization, CSO, Transparency and Accountability Group, TAG, Saturday, called on President Bola Tinubu, to sack Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, over alleged corrupt practices.
TAG in a statement signed by its President, Ayo Olorun, said the unabated corruption perpetrated by heads of these organisations is unacceptable and they must be brought to book by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, to sanitize the public service and also recover their loots in the interest of Nigerians.
