C&S Church Issues Warning To Buhari Govt Over Peter Obi, Datti, Advises Tinubu
Prophet Solomon Alao, the Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, has cautioned the Federal Government led by Muhammadu Buhari against arresting the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed. In his Easter message on Sunday, the clergyman advised the government to handle the opposition parties and their candidates with care and refrain from making threats that could trigger political unrest. Prophet Alao expressed concern that history might repeat itself if the government mishandles the opposition, as was the case in 1964. He advised Peter Obi to caution his supporters against making provocative statements or posting inflammatory content on social media that could create enemies for him.
The C&S leader also advised President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to demonstrate magnanimity in his victory and work towards governing all Nigerians, regardless of their affiliations or beliefs. He emphasized that the campaign was over, and it was time to focus on governance and handle reactions with maturity and wisdom.
