Chukwuemeka Eze, a former PDP chieftain, has advised Mr. Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, to assume complete responsibility for his official duties without any interference from Mr. Wike Nyesom. Eze expressed concerns that Wike was still meddling in the affairs of the state.

In his recent statement, Eze emphasized that Fubara would be held accountable for all events that occurred during his administration, starting from the moment he took the oath of office.

Eze pointed out that it was widely known that Wike had reappointed some Commissioners who previously worked under him to continue serving under Fubara. He alleged that no financial transaction could take place in the government without Wike’s knowledge and approval. Eze further claimed that Wike still dictated the allocation of funds to each local government from the federal allocation. Additionally, he stated that Wike shared the monthly security vote with Fubara and decided the amount the temporary governor would receive each month.

Eze urged Fubara to be prepared to confront Wike’s excessive involvement and to assert full control over the government during his relatively short tenure as governor.
