Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’ s presidential candidate, has stated that young people have every right to support the Labour Party. He made this statement in an interview with BBC News when discussing the likelihood that the Labour Party will win the elections.
The former vice president pointed out that the Labour Party does not have the necessary organizational structure to win the election. While it’ s understandable that the Labour Party is a ” starter, ” he claimed that they cannot begin by winning an election.

He said; ” Let’ s be realistic, where’ s Labour Party in this country, where is their structure? They have no single member of the Local Government, State Assembly or House of Representatives, they have no senate, no governor, no local government chairman, no nothing. Fine, they’ re starting, it’ s not bad to start but you cannot and at the same time be at the top. ”

The journalist, who informed him that the Labour Party is well- known among young people, opposed to him nonetheless. In response to the query, he stated; ” Ok, let the youth vote for them, it’ s their right. ”

He said, ” Absolutely not, it doesn’ t worry me, because the demography of the youth varies from region to region, and it is not in all regions of the country that the preponderance of the youth is moving towards Labour in South or South- East. “
