Following the ongoing Presidential election Tribunal petition filed, against President Bola Tinubu by Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and Peter Gregory Obi of the Labour Party (LP). The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was said to bring its witness to the Court for cross-examination but it was reported that the said witness didn’t show up.

In light of the following happenings, a popular Nigerian politician of the Labour party Kenneth Okonkwo has reacted in that regard as he asked why must the Electoral body keeps having issues in defending their case by failing to produce any of their witnesses, and alleging that they were been disappointed.

The Presidential spokesperson for Peter Gregory Obi/ Datti Baba-Ahmed campaign council who seems displeased said: “3rd July 2023. Today was slated for INEC to open their cases at the Presidential Election Petition Court. Not surprisingly they failed to produce any witness, claiming their witness disappointed them”.
