Nana Sani Kazaure, spokesperson, Obi/Datti campaign, said that many of those convoys that followed Peter Obi during campaign came from donation.
Nana Kazaure clarified this in an interview with Arise during the Morning Show program when she was asked to speak to the video people also shared about Peter Obi’s campaign convoy that seems to be long if they are criticising Tinubu’s convoy.
Recall that few days ago, Peter Obi, Labour Party presidential candidate, reacted to Tinubu’s long convoy video in a tweet, where he urged Mr. President to be a leader by example and try to reduce the cost of governance.
Recall also that after Peter Obi reacted to Tinubu’s video with a tweet, the tweet got lots of traction about him calling Tinubu ‘Mr. President’ and also criticising Tinubu’s convoy and they went to bring his campaign convoy which they claim is also long.
However, Nana Kazaure while reacting to Peter Obi’s convoy said that it is different from that of Tinubu.
“There were so many people that supported the movement of Labour Party. A lot of those convoy, I put it to you, those convoy came through donations, those who couldn’t be there physically but said they are going to support the campaign…”
She said that Tinubu’s convoy is taxpayers’ money.
