Suspect confesses he repeatedly slept with Libiyatu Albert and killed her husband for questioning him
The police recently arrested Ishaya Markus for the murder of a married man in the Luggere Gajere community of Adamawa State on March 3, 2024. Markus, who admitted to the crime, confessed that he had been having an affair with the victim’s wife, Libiyatu Albert.
Markus explained to the spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, Nguroje, that he went to the community to meet Libiyatu, but she was not home. He said while going back home he encountered the victim, who confronted him about his relationship with his wife. He said they had a heated argument which escalated into a violent altercation and he stabbed the victim to death…………………………CONTINUE READING
In Markus’ words: “On that fateful day, I went to the community where the deceased and his wife lived, to take her out again even after the warning, but I did not meet her. While I was returning home, I met with the deceased and he asked to know whether I went to see his wife again. A fight ensued in the course of the argument. He pulled out his knife and I also pulled out my own and engaged in a fight. He cut me and I stabbed him in his stomach and neck leading to his death”.
