Source Debunks Reports That Wigwe’s Father Slumped And Was Rushed To The Hospital For Treatment
A credible source has debunked the report that Shyngle Wigwe, the father of the late Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, was rushed to the hospital for treatment on Saturday after slumping.
Earlier, there were reports from some quarters that following the shock of his son’s death, Shyngle Wigwe had slumped and was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.
The report had sent panic among members of the public, and many had taken to social media to pray for God to console the man and give him the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
According to Vanguard, a source has said that the report of Shyngle Wigwe slumping was false, and said that the man was hale and hearty.
Speaking with Vanguard, the source said, “Even the Senate President (Godswill Akpabio) met and prayed for him.
“The story of Pa Wigwe’s collapse is totally false. We should allow the family to mourn its dead and not add to the pain by writing false stories.”
It should be recalled that the late banking mogul died alongside his wife Doreen and son Chizi after the helicopter they were in crashed near a border city between Nevada and California last month.
His death had sparked an outpouring of emotions on social media, with many sharing memories of the good deeds he did when he was alive.
The remains of Wigwe, his wife and son arrived at the Port Harcourt airport on Friday, and were driven in a long motorcade to his family house in Isiokpo community in Rivers State for burial.
Several dignitaries, guests and hundreds of other mourners were in attendance at the burial in Isiokpo to pay their last respects to the man whom they all described as a philanthropist.
