Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna Central, has called Muhammadu Buhari, the nation’s most recent president, the worst leader in Nigerian history.
He called the eight years under President Buhari’s leadership a “waste.”
Sani made the statements on Sunday in Abuja at the publication event for activist Moses Paul’s book, “The Nigerian Dream.”
“Muhammadu Buhari wasted Nigeria’s time for eight years,” the rights activist remarked. He also appointed unsuccessful candidates and extended prolonging their terms of service. That is wrong.
“He has charged corruption with all [past] governments. He said that all prior regimes were to blame for all of Nigeria’s problems. However, his administration has proven to be the worst in Nigerian history.
According to The Punch, Nigeria may be a united and wealthy country, according to the former congressman, if the leaders “lead with the fear of God and a determination and commitment to fulfill your pledges.”
It has been 63 years since our political independence, according to Sani, who stated this at the book launch: “When you read the manifestos of Nigeria’s first-generation politicians, it’s about light, water, education, bridges, and unity. And now, after more than 60 years, we are again discussing the same issue. Therefore, I think that the Nigeria of our dreams should be a better version of the different Nigeria that we inherited.
