The former Spokesperson of the PDP presidential campaign council, Daniel Bwala has expressed concern about the problem of the G-5 Governors in the party. Recall that the G-5 led by former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike openly declared they will not support the presidential candidate of their party in the last general elections, and efforts to reconcile them have so far not yielded fruits.

Speaking about the crisis with the G-5 on Channels TV, Daniel Bwala said, “As an ordinary member of the party, I am concerned that the G-5 question has not been dealt with. It is the major problem. And I say that because I look at it from the point of view that if the court consequently gave an order for a rerun, are we in a better shape to push with the G-5 problem in the party?”

“You see because every political party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inclusive will not tolerate anti party of that magnitude. So if you have a political party where key stakeholders of the party are consistently working against the interest of the party and even after the election, they position themselves in such a way that they will consistently undermine the party so that by the time a run off is declared, they will make sure that the party is at a weakened position going into the election.

What is strange to me as a private citizen is why has the party not taken decision on them? First of all, the party can survive without anybody. Second of all, they have broken every law in the book. And third of all, even the court has now said PDP, you can suspend anybody who does not adhere with your rules. So what is the party waiting for? “
