The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has predicted that former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and other members of the G5, popularly called the Integrity Group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will struggle to maintain political relevance under President Bola Tinubu’s administration

According to the PM reports, the prediction is contained in the 2023/2024 edition of his annual prophecy book ‘Warnings To The Nations’, launched on Saturday, July 1, at his Lagos church.

It is believed that Wike and the other former governors would be seeking to take advantage of their cordial relationship with President Bola Tinubu to further their personal political fortunes.

However, in his new prophecy, Ayodele predicted that the G5 who have completed their governorship tenures, except Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, will struggle to remain politically relevant.

The cleric, according to a report by PM , said: ‘’G5 GOVERNORS: I foresee that the Group of Five (G5) governors will be struggling to be more relevant in the Nigerian political landscape. Their relevance will not be as expected.

“There are so many things that will be wrong with these people even as they will have issues. They will feel disappointment and betrayal among themselves.

“They will not enjoy political relevance even when they cross to other Political Parties. However, APC must be careful of such moves.’’

The G5, a group of influential politicians, was thought to have diminished the chances of Atiku Abubakar in the last presidential election due to their insistence on the southern presidency after President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year term.

Despite their efforts, Atiku secured the PDP’s nomination but faced resistance from the G5 in their demand for a southern replacement as PDP national chairman.

In the election, the PDP presidential candidate lost in all G5 states, while APC’s Tinubu emerged as the frontrunner, winning in 12 states and securing the highest number of votes.

On June 8, the G5 visited President Tinubu at Aso Villa in Abuja.
