On 2nd June, 2023, the former member House of Representatives of the Chanchaga Federal Constituency and also the current Governor of Niger State, Umaru Mohammed Bago join The Estu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar to witness this year Hawan Bariki at Wadata Palace in Bida Local Government Area, Niger State Nigeria.
The Governor of Niger State, Honorable Umar Mohammed Bago along with the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, some senior staff of Niger State Government and hundreds of horse riders to attend Hawan Bariki at Wadata Palace in Bida Local Government Area in Niger State, Nigeria.
During his speech, the Governor of Niger State, Honorable Umaru Mohammed Bago appreciates and acknowledges the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakr for all the good work he has been doing toward the progress and development of Niger State, especially in terms of cultural heritage. He also promised to rebrand the Nupe Kingdom in line with his urban renewal policy.
