Chelsea football club didn’t do well last season, as they were unable to qualify for any European tournament after they finished outside of the top 10 for the first time over a long period of time and were also not able to win any trophy in what is one of the worst seasons in the history of the Club. However, they have the chance of proving that they still have what it takes to perform at the highest level next season under new manager Mauricio Pochetino. However, for this to happen, the club needs to sign a player in the mold of Moses Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion so that he can form a formidable partnership with world cup winner Enzo Fernandez.
Caicedo is a very good player, and he is exceptionally good when it comes to making interceptions, tackles, and covering lots of ground on the pitch. The player is also a versatile box-to-box midfielder, and it will be interesting to see how the player will unlock the best of Fernandes at the club if he is eventually signed.
Fernandez is the most fantastic ball-playing and solid midfielder that Chelsea has currently in their squad since the club sold players like Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but it is clear that the player cannot maximize his potential if he does not have another solid midfielder beside him in the midfield, and there is no doubt that Caicedo will do well alongside the Argentine in the middle of the park for Chelsea.
Caicedo is a prime Chelsea target in the transfer window, and there have been reports that Brighton and Hove Albion will be willing to sell if Chelsea bring in the right amount for the player.
