In response to the JAMB result falsification incident involving Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme from Anambra, Lauretta Onochie, the chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), expressed her thoughts during a recent event.
Lauretta Onochie expressed her disappointment in individuals who have elevated Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme’s case of result falsification to a level of contention between supporters of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) and those in support of the current administration. She regarded this as a shameful act.
Onochie, a former advisor to President Buhari, further criticized the way the case of result forgery involving Mmesoma Ejikeme had been turned into a religious matter instead of being treated as a national issue. She viewed this approach as another source of shame and emphasized the need for everyone to focus on the truth.
Amidst the controversy, Lauretta Onochie took the opportunity to extend her congratulations to 16-year-old Kamsi Nkechinyere Umeh, who achieved the highest score in this year’s Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Onochie highlighted that the facts regarding Umeh’s achievement were clear and straightforward, and there was no need for complex arguments to validate her success.
