Since assuming office on May 29, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken some decisions that has been generating reactions. The President has announced the removal of fuel subsidy, suspended the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele and the Chairman of EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa. According to Former Governor of Oyo State, Rasheed Ladoja, some of these decisions were complaints raised during the previous administration that the former President Muhammadu Buhari turned deaf ears to.

Addressing some of the decisions taken by President Tinubu in an interaction with journalists, Rasheed Ladoja said, “What most of us were blaming Buhari for is that he just turned deaf hears to all the complaints. Most of the complaints that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is acting on are the things that were already raised with Buhari.

The issue Abdulrasheed Bawa was raised with Buhari, the issue of Godwin Emefiele was raised with Buhari. So we can assume that the President (Tinubu) knows what he is doing. If he can keep away a lot of corruption, you don’t need to police people before they police themselves.”
