Late Nigerian hip-hop singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad has reportedly received two posthumous awards in Ghana.

The singer, who passed away at the age of 27, was recognised as the winner of the Supreme African Street-Hop Artist of the Year and Supreme African Song of the Year (Beast and Peace) at the Ghanaian Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards.

The musician was supposed to get his award nomination and approval letter before his untimely and controversial death, according to the blogger who broke the story on Instagram.

In remembrance of the late singer, the esteemed award’s organisers have established a new category for awards, which will be presented annually to the top performers.

He was immortalised as the Supreme Imole Rookie Street-Pop Artiste of the Year.

She wrote;

“The SUPREME DYNAMIC TALENT ACADEMY AWARDS organizers in Ghana have given two posthumous awards to Mohbad:
1. SUPREME AFRICAN STREET-HOP ARTIST OF THE YEAR
2. SUPREME AFRICAN SONG OF THE YEAR(Beast and Peace)
They also immortalized his name, IMOLE through an annual award category: SUPREME IMOLE ROOKIE STREET-HOP ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
