The presidency has reassured Nigerians that there is no need to be concerned about the timeline for appointing the cabinet members by President Bola Tinubu. Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, Dele Alake, clarified that the president has the sole responsibility for appointing ministers and will do so at his discretion.

Addressing the media at a press conference in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Alake emphasized that Nigeria operates under an executive presidency, not a parliamentary system. Therefore, the president has the authority to decide when it is appropriate to release the ministerial list.

The presidency is aware of the various speculations but remains focused on ensuring that the appointment process is carried out diligently and in line with the president’s judgment and objectives.
