Bashir Ahmad, a former media advisor to President Muhammadu Buhari, has reacted to the recent tweet deletion by Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections. Recall that the Labour Party candidate recently tweeted a post on his official Twitter account criticizing President Tinubu for having more than 100 vehicles in his convoy.

Obi addressed Tinubu as “Mr President” in the tweet, which rankled some of his fans. The former Anambra State Governor eventually deleted the post for an unknown reason.

Bashir Ahmad, in response to the development, claimed that he pities the former governor since he no longer has an opinion of himself and is governed by his fans. Bashir chastised Mr Obi for deleting the tweet after addressing Tinubu as “Mr President” because his supporters were unhappy with the statement.

“That was so low. I truly pity Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate; he no longer has control over himself or an impression of himself. How can you remove a well-crafted tweet addressing your president as Mr. President simply because some people pretending to be your supporters intimidated and degraded you?”
