Mr. Festus Keyamo is a Senior Advocate for Nigeria (SAN), and was a former Minister in the country. The former minister stated in his blog that “The strange thing is that the mentalities of many Africans were so perverted to see any kind of report or statement with authorization from any organization or body from Europe or America, especially with regard to Africa or any other African country as a report Unquestionable or givens from God!”
His comments on the matter came hours after Al-Talia newspaper announced that the court had moved ahead with accepting the report as evidence against the Election Commission as well as Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, despite objections from the ruling APC as well as lawyers. However, in Keyamo’s view, stories from the Americas and Europe are often seen in Africa by many people in Africa as undeniable and possibly coming from God. He also believes that such beliefs are incorrect.
