Candidates for senator of the Labour Party who won in the 2023 elections
Consequent to the National Assembly election conducted last Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, reports from different news sources have shown that the Labour Party has secured up to six seats in the Senate.

1. Mrs. Ireti Kingibe. Punch Newspaper report shows that the senatorial candidate of the Labour Party for the Federal Capital Territory in the 2023 election, Mrs. Ireti Kingibe, was on Tuesday declared winner of the FCT Senate seat by the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission in the FCT, Prof. Sanni Saka of the University of Abuja.
Mrs. Ireti Kingibe secured a total of 202,175 votes to defeat the incumbent Senator, Mr. Philip Aduda of the Peoples Democratic Party who gathered 100,544 votes.
2. Neda Imasuen. ThisDayLive reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Neda Imasuen of the Labour Party as the winner of the Edo South senatorial seat.
Imasuen polled 167,250 votes to defeat his closest rival, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen of the PDP who got 61,749.
3. Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi. According to Channels Television, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi of the Labour Party was declared the winner of the Imo East Senatorial District election after polling 100,631 votes to beat Uche Onyeagocha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who secured 87,229 votes.
4. Victor Umeh. According to Punch Newspaper, the Independent National Electoral Commission announced the Labour Party senatorial candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial district, Senator Victor Umeh winner of the senatorial election conducted last Saturday. Mr. Victor Umeh polled 103,608 votes to top other candidates.
5. Tony Nwoye. Tony Nwoye of the Labour Party won the Anambra North Senatorial District election held last Saturday.
Nwoye defeated Senator Stella Oduah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mrs. Ebele Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
6. Okey Ezea. According to Vanguard Newspaper, Mr. Okey Ezea, of the Labour Party (LP).
In the result declared by the Returning Officer for the 2023 Enugu North Senatorial District Election, Mr. Ezea secured 104, 492 votes to defeat his closest rival and the sitting governor of Enugu State, Gov Ugwuanyi, who got 46, 948 votes.
