In an interview with Arise , Bola Bakare, a former member of the APC presidential campaign council and Public Affairs, questioned the source of information for the European Union’s report, condemning the election process in Nigeria. He pointed out that, the Union’s report was based on the findings of only 40 election observers present in the country.

He stated during the interview that, I’m referring to the sources from which the EU obtained its information. Given the quotation, its team Its team consists of 40 election observers, and analysts in Abuja. I’m not referring to other local observers, who can conduct the same type of observation; rather, I’m referring to the about 40 EU observers. In essence, we are saying that, they only have a few people in each state. For God’s sake, the rest of your information comes from what you hear in the media. I am familiar with the media industry. I may listen to Arise, and all the studios in Nigeria to form an opinion.

According to Bola Bakare, it is possible that, the European Union obtained their information from the media, as they lacked sufficient personnel across the state. He also expressed his belief that, the election process was conducted in a manner that was transparent, just, and trustworthy.
