Festus Keyamo (SAN), one of the spokespersons to President Tinubu, said that the EU report is not and can not be a document that tells who won or lost the election.
Festus Keyamo made the statement in a statement he released a few minutes ago on his official Twitter account to react to the EU final report on the 2023 general election.
Recall that the EU final report pointed out that there were irregularities in the last general election, especially with the upload of results on the IReV.
Recall also that yesterday, the federal government as in a statement made by Dele Alake, rejected the report by the EU and added that they should allow Nigeria to breathe.
Festus Keyamo who may have also seen the report, reacted and said, that the EU report is not and can not be a document that tells who won or lost the election.
He said to declare certain aspects of an election or electoral process as “flawed” is not synonymous, as saying the whole process was a cataclysmic failure. He said there is no single election in the entire world, that would not record certain complaints of irregularities in certain areas. He said the issue is whether the irregularities is capable of up-turning the winner to lose or the loser to win.
“The EU report is not and can not be a document that tells you who won or lost an election.
