Maxwell Okpara, Nigerian Lawyer, said that he is surprised that Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa is still moving freely, since he made the statement he made at the senate, and they are talking about sanitising the Judicial system.
Maxwell Okpara made the statement in an interview with AIT during the Kakaaki program when he was asked that with the election petition going on in court, can Judiciary be trusted going by what Bulkachuwa said?
Recall that Bulkachuwa’s statement on the floor of the senate, about how he encroached upon his wife for the benefit of his friends, when she was appeal court president, never seized to disappear into thin air, but rather continued gaining traction.
However, Maxwell disclosed that the matter was raised at their SPIDEL meeting they had, and they said the matter should not be swept under carpet.
He said Bulkachuwa made an honest statement which he feels like the right place to say it is in the floor of the senate. He said by now, he expected that they should have started investigating the matter so that NJC can start to review those judgement that was dim to have been compromised.
“I’m surprised now that as we speak, Senator Bulkachuwa is still moving freely, and you are talking about sanitising the system, how are you going to sanitise the system because this man made a confession on what to see on those judgment.”
