A few hours ago, Labour Party chieftain, and former PDP governorship candidate in Anambra, Valentine Ozigbo took to social media to refute reports claiming he is lobbying for an appointment in the Tinubu-led Federal Government of Nigeria.
In a tweet posted on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday night, Ozigbo, who defected to the Labour Party shortly after losing out to Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) during the Anambra Guber election, insisted that he has not had any conversation with anybody about taking up any sort of appointment with the Bola Tinubu administration. Dismissing the reports as ‘rumors’, Ozigbo insisted that he is still a full-fledged supporter of the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi.

As expected, Ozigbo’s rebuttal has drawn quite a flurry of mixed reactions from Nigerians online, with many coming out to share their thoughts.
While some persons applauded him for coming out to clear the air, others, however, insisted that there is often no smoke without fire. A few others criticized his choice of words in the rebuttal.
