According to a news that was published by the Punch paper online this morning, it was reported that the Katsina State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, whose name was given as Mallam Nasiru Fullo, has said that the national Vice-President of MACBAN, Mannir Lamido, was kidnapped after a conversation with an unidentified person while he was travelling, as he stated that, the missing MACBAN leader, was on his way to Kaduna State Zaria in Kaduna State, alongside his sister-in-law who was to alight in Zaria.
While he was speaking during an exclusive interview with Sunday PUNCH on Saturday, Fullo said that last Friday, Lamido said he was travelling to Kaduna State, along with his sister-in-law, who was to stop in Zaria and since she alighted in Zaria, and proceeded to Kaduna State, his phone numbers were switched off.
He said that the efforts to get across to the missing person, were unsuccessful and when they alerted the police operatives to track his mobile phone, they said that his phone was switched off in Jaji, which is a suburb of Kaduna State.
While he was narrating further, the state executive noted that his sister-in-law, said that she overheard Lamido’s conversation with someone over the phone while they were both inside the car.
The sister-in-law said, “The other party was describing his car as a purple Peugeot 406, and the vice chairman was describing his own as a Toyota Corolla gold colour.”
Mallam Nasiru Fullo, further talking said, “From my knowledge of him, in the whole of Katsina State, he is having no issues with anyone. He has never told me even if there is any issue. I do not know of anyone that has issues with him. He is a gentleman. He knows how to live with people.”
When Fullo was asked whether they have contacted the police operatives, he said, “We wrote to our National Office and they wrote to the Abuja office of the Nigeria Police Force, but till now, I have not heard from them on the outcome of their investigation and I have not contacted them, except I will contact them later.”
