Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the Senator representing Anambra south senatorial district in the red chambers has issued a stern warning to Simon Ekpa and his men over the observance of sit at home in Anambra state. Recall that in August 2021 IPOB introduced a sit at home order in some south eastern states in order to pressure the Nigerian government to release Nnamdi Kanu. But Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has decided that enough is enough and it is time to put an end to the sit at home order.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah said that, “For good two years now we have observed sit at home every Monday, we have found out that as a result of the sit at home we are losing our economic base and most importantly we are losing jobs and business opportunities. As a representative of the good people of Anambra south we deem it fit to say we will not continue to have sit at home on Mondays. From this Monday every business venture in Nnewi will be open for business. We have our men and we have our system, we know that saboteurs will want to sabotage what we are doing but we are resolute to fight any aggression that will come into this town.
This is a warning to Simon Ekpa, for Seventeen good times you have mentioned Ifeanyi Ubah and I did not reply you but I am replying you today, never ever mention Ifeanyi Ubah or Nnewi again. You have your parents in Ebonyi, your state is an APC state and you have never ever mentioned your state, Ebonyi does not observe sit at home but you are in Finland contesting for councillor, you go to your job on Mondays but you want to ridicule us in Anambra state because you have communication gadgets and internet to run propaganda”.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah consistently warned Simon Ekpa and his men to stay away from Anambra state because it will no longer be business as usual from now on. He said Simon Ekpa should go to Ebonyi state to observe sit at home and leave Anambra state alone. Ifeanyi Ubah also mentioned that new gadgets, modern technology and security apparatuses have been provided to properly tackle any aggression that might want to hinder the enforcement of the new law.
