Woman left her two kids, aged 5 and 3 years, on the expressway

What could have made a woman to board a commercial vehicle and leave her two children aged five and three years behind is a mystery operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) are trying to solve after they found the children on an expressway in Lagos State on Thursday evening.

The operatives of the RRS disclosed on Friday morning how the two kids, whose names were given as Chidera aged five years and Somtochukwu, aged three years, were found at the Marina area of the city by the patrol team right on the road with speeding vehicles passing beside them.

When the patrol team asked them where was their mother, the older one told them that she boarded a commercial car in the area and left them behind on Thursday evening.

According to the RRS which announced the situation on its Twitter handle on Friday, the two children had been taken to the Adeniji Adele Police Station while efforts are being made to reunite them with their parents.
