The following Apple devices will no longer support WhatsApp:

iPhone 6

iPhone 6 Plus
These devices run up to iOS 12.5.7, which falls short of WhatsApp’s new minimum requirement of iOS 15.1.
⚠️ Why WhatsApp Is Ending Support
According to WhatsApp, outdated devices lack the hardware and software capabilities needed to support new features and security upgrades. By discontinuing support for older models, WhatsApp can better optimize its app for modern devices and operating systems.
📵 Android Phones Also Affected
While the May 2025 update targets iPhones, WhatsApp had already ended support for Android devices running Android 4.4 KitKat or earlier at the beginning of the year. These include older models like:

Make sure your phone is running:

🔄 Backing Up Your WhatsApp Data
Before switching devices, back up your chats and media to avoid losing valuable information.
