Special Assistant on Media to former president, Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad has taken to social media to state that Nigerians are now witnessing what Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi has been clamoring for with regards to the devaluation of the Naira currency against the Dollar.
Bashir Ahmad who made such statement through his official X account, shared an old tweet of former Anambra State governor and Labour Party Chieftain, Peter Obi saying that for long, market forces have not determined the exchange rate of the Naira, adding that the two tier foreign exchange regime is a fluke and it has to end.
Peter Obi further opined that the exchange rate should be determined by the forces of demand and supply.
And so Bashir Ahmad in reaction to such old tweet, went ahead to state that what they are seeing now is exactly what Peter Obi has been advocating for, adding that it is now upon them and Peter Obi is nowhere to be found to explain the situation to his supporters who have been calling for “everybody’s head” for a policy that the businessman advocated for………………………CONTINUE READING
