The result of the most recent court hearing at the Election Tribunal in Abuja was revealed in a tweet by Kenneth Okonkwo, who also happens to be the official spokesperson for the Labour Party’s presidential campaign council for the 2023 election.
He said in a tweet that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima submitted their paperwork and included the president’s degree from Chicago State University when they launched their case at the Presidential Election Petition Court on Wednesday.
According to him, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, did not object even though the petitioners (LP) raised an objection because the academic credentials were accepted as evidence by the court.
He declared, “Today at the Presidential Election Petition Court, the Second (Tinubu) and Third (Shettima) Respondents launched their cases. The stated academic certificate from Chicago State University from the Bar was one of the ctc documents they submitted; the petitioners complained, but INEC, predictably, did not.
Speaking further, he declared, “They were admitted as evidence. In accordance with a prior understanding reached by the parties during the pre-hearing session, the Petitioners did not object to the ctc of INEC results submitted by the 2nd and 3rd Respondents.
