Hon. Godfrey Gaiya, newly-appointed special adviser on Political Matters to House of Representatives Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas has praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing Major General Christopher Gwabin Musa as the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS). According to the report published by the Sun, Gaiya alleged that the people of Southern Kaduna experienced the ‘worst’ throughout the 8 years of the immediate past governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai. He stated that politics is about dividends but Southern Kaduna got nothing from El-Rufai and former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He further stated that what the past administration denied them is now on their table, adding that the zone is grateful to President Tinubu for ensuring that they go home with something.
“I am from Southern Kaduna, and the last eight years were very bad for us. We did not get even a councilor in the last eight years. We have somebody now who knows we are existing and in less than one month, we have gotten what we did not see for eight years. We have the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) from Southern Kaduna. To the glory of God, what he denied us in the last eight years is on our table now.”
