Significant APC supporters in Rivers State have urged President Bola Tinubu to consider former Governor Nyesom Wike for a ministerial position.

According to the stakeholders working under the auspices of the Amalgamated Bola Tinubu Campaign Council, Rivers State, led by former Rivers State Government Chief of Staff and party stalwart Chief Tony Okocha, the decision was based on the role Wike played in Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election.

The Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) former candidate for governor of Rivers state, Magnus Abe, who quickly took over the top spot on Tinubu’s political porch after leaving the APC at the same time he was most needed, according to The Punch, was instructed by Okocha to the people to disregard him.
