PUNCH claims that after losing the 2023 presidential contest, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate spent an astounding N744,500,000 on legal fees.
The information was disclosed by the Chairman of the fundraising team for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Organisation, Aisha Yesufu at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Reacting to the report, Prof Chidi Anselm Odinkalu said it is surprising that the biggest single line item in the electoral expenses of Peter Obi is not media or polling agents but legal expenses.
