Cross River was where Martha Ulaeto first set down roots. It wasn’t just in Calabar that her song was well known; it was played all over Nigeria. Her music, which incorporated elements of disco and funk, was met with passionate dancing. Released in 1982, “Love at First Sight” remains one of her best-known songs to this day.
