One Month Not Enough To Rate Tinubu’s Performance – Buba Galadima

One month is not enough time to rate the performance of President Bola Tinubu in office, according to elder statesman and chieftain of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Buba Galadima on Monday.

The politician said the president has started on a good footing when compared with ex-President Muhammadu Buhari in the same period.

Galadima who spoke while featuring on Arise Television breakfast show monitored in Kaduna however expressed worry on whether there is a workable plan in place on how the money that would accrue from the fuel subsidy removal would benefit the masses irrespective of their location and social statuses.

INEC Closes Case In Atiku/PDP’s Petition With One Witness

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has concluded its defence in the petition by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after calling one witness and tendering some documents before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).

INEC’s lawyer, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), announced the closure of his client’s case after an Information Technology (IT) Practitioner with INEC, (its sole witness), Dr Lawrence Bayode, adopted his written testimony and was cross-examined by lawyers to the respondents and the petitioners.

Four-Storey Building Collapses In Abuja

A four-storey building under construction in the Lifecamp area of Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory has reportedly collapsed, with many feared trapped under its rubbles.

The incident occurred at about 4 pm while workers were on the construction site in the swampy Dape Area near the Berger Clinic.

Officials of the FCT Fire Service and the National Emergency Management Agency are reportedly at the site of the collapse to rescue victims from the collapsed building.

INEC Not Ready To Defend Its Case At Election Tribunal – LP’s Lawyer Uzoukwu

Lawyer to the Labour Party (LP), Levi Uzoukwu said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are not prepared to defend its case at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Uzoukwu stated this while speaking to newsmen just outside the court on Monday, shortly after the court adjourned its resumed sitting, following the absence of INEC’s first defence witness.

The LP lawyer said his camp has a strong case and is ready to move on with its case, unlike the INEC which has continued to show inconsistencies.
