IPMAN Denies Plan To Hike Petrol To N700 Per Litre

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has denied the alleged plan by the association to increase the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol to N700 per litre nationwide.
The Chairman of IPMAN Southwest Zone, Alhaji Dele Tajudeen, stated this in an interview with the Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Friday
The chairman, therefore, urged Nigerians to disregard the speculation and not engage in panic buying.
Tajudeen stressed that the price of the product would not be more than what is being sold presently.

The Presidency, on Saturday, said President Bola Tinubu is prepared to steer the affairs of Nigeria in the direction that will position the country as the leader in the African continent.
Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, Dele Alake, who told journalists this in Lagos, said President Tinubu recognises that Nigeria is being looked upon for leadership, and he is prepared to step up to the challenge.
The President had earlier in the day hosted President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea Bissau, who paid him a private visit at his Ikoyi, Lagos residence.
Police Launch Manhunt For Killers Of Woman Accused Of Witchcraft In Cross River

Police Command in Cross River has launched a manhunt for alleged killers of a woman accused of witchcraft in Akamkpa Local Government Area of the state.
The State Commissioner of Police, Gyogon Grimah, has directed that the perpetrators be arrested and prosecuted according to the law.
This is contained in a statement by the Spokesperson of the command, SP Irene Ugbo, on Saturday.
The commissioner who described the incident as unfortunate, noted that no person had the right to take another life under any guise.
I Was Ready To Sacrifice My Senatorial Election For Tinubu’s Victory – Oshiomhole

The Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole said he was ready to sacrifice his senatorial ambition for President Bola Tinubu to win his presidential election.
He also said even though he knew his political opponents would have harassed him out of Edo North if he had lost the National Assembly election, he was ready to take the risk for Tinubu.
Oshiomhole said this yesterday at his country home in Iyamho, Etsako West local government of Edo State during the post-inauguration/thank you party held in his honour by friends and well-wishers.
