Court Adjourns Hearing In Peter Obi’s Petition Over Absence Of INEC’s Witness

The Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja has adjourned the hearing in the petition filed by Labour Party’s Peter Obi.
The hearing was adjourned till Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
This comes after the inability of the Independent National Electoral Commission to open its defence following the absence of three of its first witnesses.

APC Chieftain Hails Sanwo-olu

Mr Bola Babarinde, a former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), South Africa Chapter, has commended the reconciliatory effort of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and his immediate past predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Babarinde in a statement on Monday, commended Sanwo-Olu for attending Ambode’s 60th birthday party and praising him for his dedication to serving Lagos state as governor and civil servant.
Absence Of Magistrate Stalls Seun Kuti’s Trial

The absence of Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of the Yaba Magistrates’s court has further stalled the trial of Afrobeat Musician, Seun Kuti.
The registrar, Mr Babalola, in the absence of the chief Magistrate, Olatunbosun, adjourned the case till September 27, 2023, for the continuation of the proceeding.
Magistrate Olatunbosun was said to have resumed her administrative leave and was thus absent in court today.
Anxiety As FG Resumes Work On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Today

MOTORISTS and road users plying the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, yesterday, expressed fears as the contractor of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing resumes rehabilitation work on the axis today.
This came as the gridlock returned to the expressway, yesterday, following the high influx of Lagos-bound vehicles who were returning after the long Sallah break.
The situation crippled traffic along the axis for several hours as motorists and road users were stranded in the gridlock.
