Tinubu withdraws Shetty Maryam’s nomination, appoints Keyamo as Minister.
President Bola Tinubu has recently put forward two new nominations for ministerial positions in Nigeria’s Federal Republic. The previous nominee from Kano, Dr Maryam Shetty, has been replaced with Dr. Mariga Mahmud, also from Kano. In addition to this change, Mr Festus Keyamo has been nominated for consideration and approval by the Senate.
In a letter addressed to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpiabio, President Tinubu cited compliance with Section 147 subsection 2 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, as the basis for these nominations.
