The credibility of the 2023 election that produced Bola Tinubu as President has been questioned by some Nigerians. While a large significant number of petitioners has stormed the court to contest the INEC declaration, the Unity of the Nation is paramount in all of this. A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, and a former Executive Secretary of the Ojodu Local Council development area, Mallam Ahmed Moyosore Jaji has alleged that regardless of what the Judges decide, Nigeria will fight against secession. He said in a Sun paper interview that the secession attempt ended with Late General Chukwuemeka Ojukwu in 1967.
He said, ”We don’t have any other country but Nigeria, and those who think Nigeria will disintegrate should perish the thought. Nobody is going anywhere, the Biafran War has put paid to Nigeria’s disintegration. When Chukwuemeka Ojukwu tried secession in 1967, the entire country faced him and the entire country will likewise face another part of the country that tries to secede. What is wrong with Nigeria being together.”
