Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, has alleged that President Bola Tinubu plans to reward the former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, with a ministerial appointment. Shaibu claimed that this appointment is in recognition of Wike’s role in rigging the presidential election in Rivers State to favor Tinubu.
According to Shaibu, the results from states like Rivers demonstrate that the last presidential election was not conducted in a credible manner. He criticized the fact that Tinubu intends to reward Wike with a ministerial portfolio despite the existence of a pending petition against the former governor, which has attracted nearly 300,000 votes.
