President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has acknowledged the country’s role as a leader and is prepared to rise to the challenge, according to his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Mr. Dele Alake. This statement was made following a private visit by President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea Bissau to President Tinubu at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Although the visit was of a personal nature, President Embaló took the opportunity to express his solidarity and willingness to collaborate with Nigeria under President Tinubu’s leadership. The visit also served to strengthen the fraternal relations between the two countries. President Embaló, who currently chairs the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, commended President Tinubu’s notable policy initiatives in the past month and praised Nigeria’s strides in the international community.
President Embaló’s visit signifies a promising future for the West African region, as it highlights the positive impact of Nigeria’s recent advancements and emphasizes the nation’s rightful place in African affairs. The Bissau-Guinean leader was accompanied by his Special Adviser Caramo Camara, Chief of Staff Califa Soares, Diplomatic Advisor Ambassador Alfredo Cabral, and Image tor Bonifacio Correia. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who had previously welcomed President Embaló at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, were also present during the visit.
