“Declaring certain aspects of an election or electoral process as ‘flawed’ is not synonymous with saying the whole process was a cataclysmic failure,” Keyamo stated in a statement sent out on Monday, July 3. This is the obvious distinction that a great many people have overlooked.

He continued, “There is not a single election in the world that does not receive reports of irregularities in particular places. The essential question to answer is whether such alleged anomalies significantly influenced the election to the point that the loser(s) or winner(s) may have lost. We could have an election 100 times and yet have no winner if you had the authority to annul the entire process each time some anomalies occurred or were reported.
