There’re people around Buhari working against Tinubu’s victory – El-Rufai
Kaduna state governor, Nasir- el- Rufai on Wednesday said he believed that there are people around President Muhammadu Buhar working against the victory of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the February 25 election.
He said those working against Tinubu are not happy the person they preferred did not get the presidential ticket of APC.

He, however, disowned the initiative, saying it is not part of the policy of APC.
El- Rufai spoke while reacting to hardship inflicted on the people of the country by the scarcity of new currency notes and scarcity of petrol.
The Governor blamed refusal of President Buhari to support removal of petroleum subaidy for the scarcity of petrol as well as the economic problems being faced by the country.
He said the Governor has agreed that subsidy should go at the meeting of National Economic Council.
El-Rufai said on his part, he met Buhari in 2021 and made a presentation to him on why subsidy should go.
He said the President agreed, but later reneged on the promise.
He said the President always argued that removal of subsidy will hurt the common man.
He said those working against Tinubu ar3 not happy the person thaey preferred did not get the presidential ticket of APC.
