During an interview with Arise , Oladotun Hassan, A member of the APC, stated that the European Union report came in between the presidential election tribunal and, as such, stands as a subjudice. He stated that it would be difficult to ascertain the truth and veracity of the report because they have less than 100 observers when there are 170864 polling units in the country.
Hassan continued by saying the EU got their report from YIAGA Africa, and the outcome of both results is similar. He added that Nigerians came out in large numbers to vote according to their conscience, and INEC, in return, ensured the smooth running of the process.
According to him, “in view of the fact that the EU report came in between the presidential election tribunal, to me, it’s more of a subjudice in its entirety. I read the report: less than 100 observers, and we have over 170864 polling units. What is the veracity of the content of that report? The source of that report Maybe, if I might relate, some of this comment might have come from Samson Itodo’s Yiaga because they’re on the same page. Not every Nigerian voted according to their conscience, but the majority of Nigerians did. Though there are issues across the East, West, and North, we’re all witnesses to this, but in view of the fact that the way and manner in which this report was skewed was to dampen our hopes and democracy,
