The Gunners outclassed Liverpool 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium but their recent record at Anfield has been terrible. Manager Mikel Arteta has lost all his league matches in Merseyside since his appointment in December 2019.

2- Chelsea vs Brighton (15 April)

Chelsea suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat the last time they travelled to Brighton & Hove Albion in October. The Blues delivered a hugely disappointing performance at the Amex, conceding an incredible four goals and failing to convert several of their chances.

Revenge will be on their mind when they host the Seagulls at Stamford Bridge in the middle of April. But it is likely to be a very difficult contest with Brighton playing impressive football under manager Roberto de Zerbi.

3- Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur (23 April)

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are one of the top candidates to finish in the top-four this season. Spurs are currently sitting in fourth in the league standings, with two points ahead of their rivals. However, the Magpies have two games in hand over the North Londoners.

Tottenham slumped to a disappointing 2-1 home loss to Newcastle last time out. Callum Wilson found the net in contentious circumstances before Miguel Almiron doubled their advantage after 40 minutes. Spurs reduced the deficit through Harry Kane’s low header after the restart but that only served as a small consolation in the end.

The Londoners will be looking to do better this time when they travel to St James’ Park. But they are likely to find very tough opponents in Eddie Howe’s side who have been brilliant this season.

4- Manchester City vs Arsenal (26 April)

This match could determine who is crowned the league champions at the end of the season. Manchester City, in particular, cannot afford to lose this match as they are already eight points behind Arsenal, although they have a game in hand over their rivals.

City emerged victorious 3-1 in their previous league encounter at the Emirates Stadium, with Kevin de Bryune, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland on target for the Citizens. They took the top spot in the table following their brilliant victory but their indifferent form allowed Mikel Arteta’s side to climb to the summit again.

5- Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur (30 April)

City, Arsenal and Manchester United are most likely to fill the top three spots, leaving Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion to fight for the final Champions League berth. The Reds have been very unconvincing this season but a top-four finish is still within their reach.

Jurgen Klopp’s men registered a superb 2-1 victory the last time they met Spurs in North London. Mohamad Salah was the standout performer as he bagged a brace in the first-half to provide a vital contribution. Kane pulled one back with 20 minutes remaining but the visitors held on for an excellent win.
