A former special assistant to the former governor of Benue state, Raymond Magen has revealed the chances of the 5 opposition leaders to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in a very short time.
Raymond Magen who made such disclosure, according to Punch noted that the G5 group which consists of Wike, Ortom, Makinde, Ikpeazu and Ugwuanyi are consistently having talks with the ruling party.
The former special assistant to Samuel Ortom stressed that these talks that the 5 opposition leaders are having with the APC are not just mere talks, noting that it is deepening, adding that in the coming months, they may join the APC because there are no indications that they are interested in what is going on in the PDP.
In his words… “Deep talks were ongoing between the APC and the five opposition leaders which could lead to their defection in the months ahead. Magen added, “They are talking on a consistent basis with the APC. These are not mere talks but deep-seated conversations between the PDP leaders and the ruling party. They may be joining the APC because there are no indications that they are still interested in what is going on in their party”
One will not be wrong to say that though, the G5 group had noted that they still remain in the PDP, there have inarguable been fears by some that they may defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, especially considering their recent visit to Aso Rock to meet president Bola Tinubu.
