During an interview with Arise , Francis Wainwei, national secretary of Citizens Network for Peace and Development, talked about issues concerning who should become the minority leader of the 10 Senate.

When he was asked, ” You as the arrowhead of the CSO pointed at the formal governor of Sokoto state, Senator Aminu Tambuwal why so?”

Replying, he stated that Senator Tambuwal’s previous actions were evidence to consider. He said In 2011, Tambuwal became the speaker of the federal House of Representatives, and the consequences of his actions destabilized the government. He said that currently, Tambuwal is seeking to become a minority leader, but this decision seems motivated by personal gain rather than the welfare of the country. He said this conclusion is based on his consistent track record, which reveals a lack of interest in effective leadership and a focus on personal biases and interests.

In his words he said, “Yes because we have seen his antecedents. Senator Tambuwal was made speaker of the federal House of Representatives in 2011 and we saw what he did to destabilize that Government. So now Senator Tambuwal is skimming to come back to become a minority leader. It is not for the betterment of the country, but rather it is for selfish purposes which we know because his antecedents have always been showing that he is not interested in good leadership but just about sentiments.”
